Week 2 Recap: Future FC Scores Second Consecutive Shutout

CORONA, CA (June 3, 2024) - It's hard to deny the Future for too long.

Tara Oper scored in the 74th minute and Desarae Felix added a second in the 85th minute as Future FC beat SoCal SC in a SoCal Women's Premier League match on Sunday, June 2 at Santiago High School.

An all-conference selection at Cal Poly Pomona (NCAA Division II) last season, Oper has two goals this season for Future FC (2-0-0 overall), which has not allowed a goal so far this season.

On Saturday, California Natives FC earned a 2-1 win over A Valencia FC at Indian Springs High School in San Bernardino.

Also on Sunday, Capo FC scored a 10-1 win over Laguna FC at Irvine Valley College and Ocelot Academy squeezed past Prestige FC 2-1 at Ralph M. Lewis Sports Complex.
